The Fundación Casa de México en España is a joint civil society and governmental platform that seeks to promote Mexico in Spain. Among its many activities it presents free exhibitions at its magnificent seat in Chamberí, Madrid, offering a window onto the best of Mexican culture..
i. Challenges
1. Provide, in audio and text format, information accessible in Spanish, English and French for visitors to consult on their personal mobile devices as they move around the rooms.
2. The temporary exhibitions change each three months, meaning that the logistics for generating and presenting the translations and recordings should be straightforward.
3. The curators deliver the final versions of the texts at short notice, meaning a quick turnaround is required.
ii. Solution
1. We work in synch with the exhibition production team: while it is being installed, the CM Idiomas team translates the texts and records the audio in the three languages required.
2. One or more QR codes are created to enable visitors to access the texts and audio in the language of their choice from their personal devices, without the need to download an app.
